I Do Things Differently

As you go through this page, it's highly likely hypnosis is not the first thing you thought of as a treatment for anxiety. You will have likely done other things and maybe you feel a bit stuck and lost. 

There’s nothing worse than feeling stuck, out of control or having days filled with worry where even simple tasks can seem like a constant battle.  Many hours can be spent trawling the internet trying to work out why anxiety is happening and searching for a cure or treatment for anxiety.

Other methods of change can often feel as if nothing is really happening or that you are simply being put through a very rigid process of countless sessions.  This is different, from the very first session together, my goal is that you already feel better.

Creating Long Lasting Change

My goal is to work on what you would like to work on, and to ensure that you have the tools and resources to tackle any future challenges. 

Think of it this way. If you have a ceiling which is leaking, you could easily patch it up with some kind of filler but at some point you need to address the causes of the leak, otherwise it comes back, over and over.

A large scale study finds hypnosis is a highly effective intervention for anxiety.

"Our results indicate the average participant treated with hypnosis achieved more anxiety reduction than about 79% of control participants at the end of active treatment and about 84% of controls at the longest follow-up. "

Hypnosis is effective for reducing test anxiety

"10 of the 11 practitioners recorded passes, whereas on the second, 9 indicated an attitude change toward lower levels of test anxiety. Hypnosis can provide better quality of life in terminally ill cancer patients. 

Results demonstrated that at the end of intervention patients in the hypnosis group had significantly better overall quality of life and lower levels of anxiety and depression when compared to the standard care group. It is concluded that hypnosis is effective in the enhancement of quality of life in terminally ill cancer patients. An effective complementary method for decreasing pre-surgical anxiety

Pre-surgical preparation: Hypnosis session prior to surgery was an effective complementary method in decreasing presurgical anxiety, and it resulted in better pain control as well as reduced ventilator assistance following CABG surgery.

After this call, you’ll be able to pick a time for your first session
