Smoking can be a difficult habit to kick, it can feel like an uphill struggle and even like an internal battle. One way to look at it is that there is a part of you that wants to stop smoking and another part of you which finds it hard to resist the urge or temptation to smoke.

Who really wants to quit?
Before we talk about hypnosis, let’s talk about you. Do you really want to quit? Or does somebody else, your doctor, your partner or children want you to quit. It’s ok to answer no at this stage, afterall the only person responsible for how you live your life is yourself.
Find your own reasons for quitting smoking. Why might it be a good idea to stop smoking? How will your life change when you are free from your smoking habit? Come up with at least 7 reasons and write them own.
Imagine a world where you can still do the things you used to do
What would it be like to simply decide to quit and no longer feel the need to smoke? Imagine a world where you can politely refuse a cigarette, continue to enjoy a drink in a bar or nightclub and not feel the need to smoke.
